Seismic isolation testing for artifacts of Patras Archeological Museum

Replicas of statues from the archeological museum of Patras were tested on the seismic simulator of the Department of Civil Engineering to evaluate the effectiveness of a new isolation/dissipation system for protecting free-standing artifacts. The tests regarded two types of statues subjected to a series of seismic records (accelerograms) at increasing amplitude. See the following relative video
