Innovative connections in steel structures
The main objective of the research program is to investigate the inelastic behavior of a newly developed hybrid energy dissipative brace. The brace is consisted by three distinct elements, a high damping elastomeric damper, an I-section and a web hourglass pin. A plane frame equipped with the proposed brace was tested in the Seismic Simulator Facility Laboratory.
